Prof Alan Chalmers (UoW) participated in the on-line seminar organised by the University of Cape Town for Computer Science students where he presented an Overview of the need for authenticity in virtual experiences, including recent activities of the SCHEDAR project, on November 09,  2020.

Sixth Meeting

The sixth meeting took place on November 22nd, 2019. The partners met and discussed about the progress of the project, the forthcoming mid term report, the promo video of the Schedar project to be submitted at JPI CH, and many others.

Fifth Meeting

The fifth meeting took place on October 25th, 2019. The progress of the project has been discussed, the recruitment of the new researchers have been discussed, the forthcoming deliverables, and the upcoming midterm report.

Groupe de Travail Animation Simulation

Computer Animation and Social Agents 2019

Mr. Anastasios Yiannakidis, and Dr. Andreas Aristidou (UCY) participated in the International conference on Computer Animation and Social Agents (CASA’19), held in Paris (France), to present their work (outcome of the SCHEDAR project) on 3D Human Pose and Motion Reconstruction from Monocular RGB Videos, an efficient method for recording dance creations.

Emerging Technology for the Performing Arts

Dr. Andreas Aristidou (UCY) participated in an event organized by University College London about Emerging Technology for the Performing Arts, and presented the SCHEDAR approach for digitization, preservation, documentation, analysis and visualization of folk dancing. There were approximately 30 participants from the industry, dance schools, and research members of UCL.
